Obituary for Wilson L. Taylor

Wilson L.  Taylor
Wilson L. Taylor, age 82, of Albers, died at 5:01 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Paul's Home in Belleville. He was born September 2, 1934 in Albers, the son of the late William H. and Gertrude (Evans) Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by three children: Kevin Taylor of Albers, Janice (Robert) Albers of Breese and Keith Taylor of Albers; five grandchildren: Jessica Albers, Crystal (Daniel) Daniken, Joshua Albers, Brenden Taylor (special friend Jessica Fuhler) and Breann Taylor; one great-grandchild, Bryce Albers; two brothers: Norman (Rita) Taylor of Walnut Hill, IL and James Taylor of Breese; and his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Wilson was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Zurliene; two sisters: Opal (the late Bernard) Suhl and Betty (the late Ray) Fogarty; one brother, William "Billy" Taylor ; and a sister-in-law, Rita Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was an agriculture advisor. He was a US Army veteran and was a member of the Albers American Legion Post 1026, as well as St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers.

Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers, and from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10 at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 at the church. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Assn.
