Marcus W. LeRoy, Sr., age 86, of Hillsboro, IL, formerly of Collinsville, died at 6:26 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Center. He was born January 6, 1931 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late Bethel Wilson and Violet Katherine (Harley) LeRoy. He married Doris Carron. She preceded him in death May 16, 2017. Surviving are a daughter, Jeannine (Tom) Mayo of Oakville, MO; four grandchildren: Thomas (Dawn) Coats, Sabrina (Jason) Stahl, Korrinn (James Taylor) Coats and Kandice (Darrin Prigmore) Hurley; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers: William (Eleanor) LeRoy of Caseyville and James (Lynda) LeRoy of Fairview Heights; and one sister, Shirley (the late Lonny) Hatfield of Collinsville. He was preceded in death by two children: Marcus "Buddy" LeRoy, Jr., and Jeanette Basarich; and three siblings: Jerry LeRoy, Ruth Ann Cornstubble and Velma Tucker.

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated. No services will be held.
