William Eugene Combs, age 76, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. He was born April 13, 1941 in Edwards County, IL, the son of the late William H. and Alma L. (Stremme) Combs. He married Patricia Bunting September 21, 1962. She survives.

Also Surviving are four children: Brian Combs of Freeburg, IL, Bruce Combs of Darmstadt, IL, Jeana Engelke of Belleville and Holly (Greg) Williamson of Belleville; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sarah (David) Pampe of Indianapolis, IN; and one brother, Ronald (Cindy) Combs of Olney, IL.

Besides his parents, Mr. Combs was preceded in death by a grandson, William J. Combs; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Combs; and a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Donald Lewis.

Mr. Combs was a farmer for over 30 years and truck driver for McMillan Trucking in Lebanon.

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
