Obituary for Sara Curry (Harris)

Sara Curry, age 83, of Edwardsville, died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Lebanon Care Center in Lebanon. She was born November 23, 1933 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Isaac and Jessie (Jones) Harris. She married Phil Curry. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Curry; and a sister, Doris Miner.

Surviving are two sons: George (Theresa) Curry of Marissa, IL and Phil (Barbara) Curry of California; one grandson, Matthew Curry; and a brother, Perry Harris of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Mrs. Curry worked in food service for Edwardsville School District 7. She was also a member of the Edwardsville Lion's Club and the Edwardsville Moose Lodge.

According to her wishes, her remains were donated to the Washington University School of Medicine.

No services will be held.
