Obituary for Anthony Lee Ellett Sr.
Anthony Lee Ellett, Sr., age 63, of New Baden, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in New Baden.
He was born December 30, 1958 in Murphysboro, Illinois, the son of the late Charles and Rachel (Rogers) Ellett.
He is survived by six children: Richard Martin of Kansas, Anthony Lee (Jennifer) Ellet, Jr. of Trenton, Samantha (Timothy Seiber) Ellett of New Baden, Charles (Elizabeth) Ellett, Jack Ellett and Luke Ellet, all of Freeburg; and five grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings: Phillip Ellett and Josephine Ellett.
Mr. Ellett was a US Army veteran, serving from 1977-1980. He was a member of the New Baden American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed attending auctions, watching wrestling and spending time with his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the New Baden American Legion, 105 East Illinois St., New Baden, IL.
