Anthony Matta, age 52, of O’Fallon, died Sept. 19, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 27, 1966 in Fort Lewis, WA, the son of the late Manuel Christopher and Frances Matta.

Mr. Matta is survived by his siblings: Nadine Matta Haynes of Cynthia, KY, Anne Marie Matta Wilson (Thomas) of Sealy, TX, John C. Matta (Paula) of Las Vegas, NV and Michelle Matta Mendez (Jose) of Albuquerque, NM. Tony was a wonderful uncle and avid supporter of his nieces and nephews: Sheree Matta Erven (Philip), Christine Matta, Marc Matta, Jose Manuel Mendez (Sara), Victor Mendez, Katie Daily and Shannon Daily; and his grand nieces and nephews: Philip, Grayson, Chelsey, Matthew and Emma.

Tony was an avid fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs. He grew up in Georgia and loved all things from the South, including sweet tea and the SEC.

The family is planning a private service in the near future. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
