Obituary for Arline Lee Wojda (Russell)
Arline Lee Wojda, age 82, of Belleville, died at 5:09 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon.
She was born February 25, 1938 in Belleville, the daughter of the late Orlie and Lillian (Beimbrink) Russell. She married John Martin Wojda. He preceded her in death April 4, 2003.
Surviving are four children: John (Cindy) Wojda of Shiloh, Mike (Tina) Wojda of Belleville, Darlene (Mike) Harris of Clearwater, FL and Marlene (Bill) Griffin of Belleville; nine grandchildren: Christina, Adam, Kim, Emma, Katelyn, Dominique, Corvaughn, Sandy and Jimmy; eight great-grandchildren: Jordan, Kloey, Kayla, Nathan, Madison, Shawn, Kristopher and Toni; and two siblings: Ruth Southers of Belleville and Jack Russell, also of Belleville.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Joyce Arnold, Judy Windeknecht and Stanley Russell.
Mrs. Wojda was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Belleville and PSOP (Programs and Services for Older Persons). She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Blues fan. She also enjoyed Facebook, Crocheting and crossword puzzles.
Because of Covid-19 restrictions, no services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
