Beverly Francis Orazem, “Bev” (Davis), age 89, formerly of O’Fallon passed away Friday, July 30, 2021. She was born September 11, 1931 in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late George and Helen Davis. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend.
Bev met the love of her life, Edward “Ed” Orazem, while he was in the Navy. They married January 1, 1954. He preceded her in death July 31, 1998. Bev and Ed settled in Babbit, MN, where they raised a family and retired. After retirement they spent 4 months of the year at Lake Superior where she spent time doing things she loved: fishing, camping and being by the water.
Following her husband’s death, Bev moved to O’Fallon, IL to be close to her daughter, Patti. Bev enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, playing cards, shopping, and gardening. She loved people! She loved to be around people and take care of them, she never met a stranger. Bev was active in her church and was a member of the senior group, Yesterday’s Kids, which she enjoyed very much. She loved to meet family and friends for Mexican food and margarita’s whenever she could. She loved to do ceramics, decorate, and cook. She made the best lasagna!
She is survived by three children: Rick (Nonette) Orazem of Mesa, AZ, Debbie (Dale) Edman of Prior Lake, MN and Patti (Terry) Vartanian of O’Fallon, IL; six grandchildren: David Edman, Nikki Podemski, Danielle Sarceda, Andrè Anderson, Amber Anderson and Austin Anderson; eight great-grandchildren: Lilly, Maddie, Emma, Jaden, Mian, Bonnie, Easton and Sophia; and her brother, Richard (Andrea) Davis of Florida.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Davis.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in O’Fallon, preceded by a visitation from 10 a.m. - 10:30.
