Obituary for Cathy L. Jones (Yator)
Cathy L. Jones, age 67, of Fairview Heights, IL, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her residence.
She was born April 17, 1953 in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of Phylis (Morris) Yator of Bergholz, OH and the late Lawrence Yator.
She married Douglas Jones. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Jason (April) Jones of New Memphis, IL and Allen (fiancé Julie) Jones of Fairview Heights; six grandchildren: Ashley, Grace, Allen “A.J.”, Tobias, Elliot and Louis; and two brothers: Roy Yator of Bergholz, OH and Chuck (Debbie) Yator of Columbus, OH.
Besides her father, Cathy was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Herbert “Herbie” Jones.
Cathy worked in childcare at Scott Air Force Base as a pre school teacher.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at Fresh Start Community Church of God in Lebanon at a later date.
