Obituary for David Edward Lizotte Sr.
David Edward Lizotte, Sr., age 75, of O’Fallon, passed away at 10:13 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Highland Healthcare Center in Highland, IL.
He was born June 13, 1943 in Claremont, NH, the son of the late Romeo and Elizabeth (Daignault) Lizotte. He married Wanda L. Deel. She survives.
Besides his wife, Mr. Lizotte is survived by two children: E. Lorraine “Lori” Collins of Belleville and David Edward Lizotte, Jr. of Simpsonville, KY; three grandchildren: Douglas F. Collins, USMC, currently stationed in California, Dane F. Collins of Belleville and Jacqueline Kate Lizotte of Simpsonville, KY; one great-grandchild, Thea Judy Collins; and three siblings: Esther LeMere of Hazel Green, AL, Paul R. Lizotte of Toney, AL and Frank Lizotte of North Carolina.
David was a 20 year Army veteran and was also employed in Civil Service by the Department of Defense. He was a member of the American Legion and a past member of Quad-A Army Aviation Association of America.
Burial of his cremated remains will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
