Obituary for Dawn Khosrovani (Anderson)

Dawn Suzanne Khosrovani, age 53, of Swansea, IL died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at her residence after a five and a half year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. Dawn was born December 8, 1968 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Thomas A. Anderson of Marion, IA and Nancy (Bryden) Heun of Erie, IL.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband Aaron Khosrovani, whom she married June 1, 1993; eleven children: Nathan, Beck, Myra (and her husband Jordan), Elsah, Cole (his wife Sydney and expectant son Ezra), Emma, Nora, Lila, Bryce, Cade, and Liam. Also surviving are her sister Robin (Chad) Reed and her sister Christi (Pete) Francois.
Dawn graduated high school in 1987 in Clinton Iowa, later completing Cosmetology School and working as a hairdresser in salons for several years.

Dawn’s life centered around her family, whom she loved dearly. For years Dawn took the road less traveled. Early on, she began home-schooling her children, dedicated to providing them a classical education centered on the things of God. For fun, she enjoyed watching TV shows with her family, especially British period-pieces, and was a very talented cook. Additionally, she made a special effort to instill and celebrate traditions throughout the year on birthdays and a variety of holidays.

Dawn was most encouraged when seeing her children pursue the Lord Jesus and his teachings. Most of all, she had a special passion that the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ would go forth, hoping to embolden that message to the world through her actions and the legacy of her family.

Her remains will be cremated and interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in a private ceremony. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Center Grove Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville, IL. She will be dearly missed.
