Obituary for Diana Lynn Wurth (Bequette)
Diana Wurth, age 63, of Glen Carbon, died peacefully at 10:32 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at her home.
She was born May 4, 1958 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Gene Paul (Cathie) Bequette of DeSoto, MO and Ruth Ann (Politte) Bequette of Victoria, MO.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Bernard J. “Bernie” Wurth, whom she married May 24, 1980; two children: Stephen (Jenny) Wurth of Columbia, IL and Carrie (Chad) Kraner of Edwardsville, IL; four grandchildren: Landon, Stella, Benjamin and Alexander; and three brothers: Matthew Gene (Diane) Bequette, Daniel Lane (Donna) Bequette and Douglas Wayne (Niki Ruhland) Bequette.
She lived a fulfilled life surrounded by her family and friends, bringing out the best in everyone she touched, though her most cherished role was being “Grammy / Gaga” to her grandkids. They were her world.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. She will be laid to rest at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Boniface Cemetery in Edwardsville.
Memorials may be given to the St. Boniface Angel Fund or to the St. Vincent DePaul Society
