Obituary for Donna S. Larcom (Bland)
Peacefully and surrounded by family, Donna Susan “Sue” Larcom (Bland, Cutmeyer) passed away on Friday July 30, 2021 at the age of 83 years old.
Sue was born in Eureka, Kansas February 18, 1938, to Donald Bland and Marianna Cutmeyer. She was raised there by her beloved grandparents. She married the love of her life, Virgil Larcom, in 1958 and they later took up residence in Lebanon, Illinois where they built a remarkable life together.
Sue was an adoring mother to three children, two of whom survive: Patrick (Melissa) Larcom and Scott Larcom of Shiloh Illinois. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Jill, Christopher, Matthew, Corey, Sara, Brian, and Nicholas; eight great grandchildren; siblings: Randy Bland, Ricky Bland, and Pam Irwin Bland; and her charming dog Pete.
Sue worked as a nurse and was a devoted Catholic. She dedicated her life to caring for those in need and sharing God’s love. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic church of Lebanon, Illinois.
Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Virgil Larcom; daughter Kimberly Larcom; and her brothers Greg Bland, Lance Bland, and Larry Bland.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held. The family sends a thank you to those who have expressed their sympathy and shared stories of her memory.
