Obituary for Elsie M. Wasser (King)
Elsie M. Wasser, age 90, of Glen Carbon, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
She was born January 23, 1931 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of the late Woodrow and Victoria (Zulpo) King.
She married Robert L. Wasser November 10, 1956. He preceded her in death December 4, 1992.
Surviving are three children: David (Lynn) Wasser of Victor, ID, Andrew (Brenda) Wasser of Edwardsville and William (Diana) Wasser of Greenwood, IN; seven grandchildren: Jessica (David) Navarro of California, Kirsten (Sean) Gelber of Victor, ID, Ericca (Josh) Yann of Highland, Scott (Ashley) Wasser of Bethalto, Sara (Jason) Prott of Bethalto, Claire (McKenzie) Holtmann of Highland and Lexi Wasser of Indiana; six great-grandchildren: Jaden, Adisson, Stanley, David, Adelynn and Brooklyn; one sister, Nancy King of The Villages, FL; and a brother-in-law, Jerry (Margie) Wasser of St. Peters, MO.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Fr. James Wasser and Cletus (the late Trudy) Wasser.
Elsie was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Madison County Geneology Society.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Edwardsville.
Memorials may be given to the St. Boniface Building Fund.
