Erlene Strubhart, age 82, of Albers, died at 4:19 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2021 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
She was born May 24, 1938 in Belleville, the daughter of the late John and Myrtle (Davinroy) Fink. She married Thomas Strubhart February 3, 1962. He preceded her in death August 9, 2002.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Neoma (the late Chuck) Bergen. Brother-in-laws: Charles Burgan; Charles, James, Paul, Xavier and Nicholas Strubhart, Francis Frey, Ceaser Altgilbers. Sister-in-laws: Martha Altgilbers, Margret, Marilyn, and Marcella Strubhart.
Erlene is survived by four children: Tina (Ken) Book of Albers, Elise (Jeff) Brasel of Glen Carbon, Etta (Mike) Roemerman of Ellisville, MO and Todd (Kristin) Strubhart of Bethalto; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jonnalee (Richard) Bohn of Jerseyville. Sister-in-laws; Marie (Sister Virginia) Strubhart, Gert Frey, Betty Lou Salemi, Marita and Delores Strubhart. Many nieces and nephews.
Erlene was a member and Sacristan of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers, as well as the St. Bernard Ladies Sodality.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers. Her remains will be cremated and buried in the church cemetery at a later date.
