Obituary for Jarvis Joseph Chappus
Jarvis Joseph Chappus, age 71, of O’Fallon, IL, formerly of Detroit, MI, died Monday, January 2, 2023 at his residence.
He was born August 27, 1951 in Detroit, MI, to the late Ferdinand and Margaret (Fredette) Chappus, and raised by Ferdinand and Isabelle (Fredette) Chappus.
Jarvis is survived by four children: Christina Chappus of New Boston, MI, Christopher Chappus of Las Vegas, NV, Angela (Jason) Reilly of Long Beach, CA, and Robert Chappus of Canton, MI; two grandchildren: Sydney Fuller and Alexandria Chappus; and four siblings: Dennis (Ann) Chappus of Holly, MI, Girarda (Gary) Thack of Troy, MI, Cheryl Bergan of O’Fallon, IL, and Mary (David) Beach of Williamsville, IL.
Jarvis enjoyed bowling and was an avid baseball card collector. He loved his kids and grandkids more than anything, especially when he got to share his passions with them at the bowling alley or a baseball stadium to cheer on their favorite team, the Detroit Tigers.
A memorial service will be held in Michigan at a later date.
