Obituary for Jeffrey J. Litterst
Jeffrey Joseph Litterst, age 57, of Edwardsville, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.
He was born March 20, 1963 in Springfield, IL, the son of the late Ronald and Geraldine (O’Neill) Litterst. He married Melissa Seelbach on November 6, 1993. She survives.
Also surviving are two children: Adam Litterst of Edwardsville and Madeline Litterst of Nashville, TN; two sisters: Kathaleen (Dan) Sumpter of Springfield, IL and Lynn Litterst of Springfield, IL; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Judy (Brockamp) Seelbach of Farmersville, IL; three brothers-in-law: Doug (Dawn) Seelbach of Bloomington, IL, Greg (Kathy) Seelbach of Springfield, IL and Tim (Rachel) Seelbach of Staunton, IL; one sister-in-law, Beth (the late Tom) Blake of Elmhurst, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff worked as a Director of Enterprise Sales for nThrive. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan. He was an avid traveler, golfer, fisher, and hunter. Jeff’s greatest joy came from spending time with and sharing his humor, laughter, and love with his friends and family.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the church with the Very Reverend Jeffrey Goeckner officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Mt. Auburn, IL.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
