Obituary for Jerry Davis
Thomas J. “Jerry” Davis, age 72, of Maryville, died at 11:02 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
He was born December 21, 1948 in St. Louis, the son of the late Thomas and Marie (Gantner) Davis. He married Judy Wines in 1968. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey (Debbie) Davis of Edwardsville; five grandchildren: Brian Davis, Nicholas McKenney, Matthew Davis, Logan McKenney and Emma McKenney; one great-grandchild, Brian Carstens; and two sisters: Marlene Yerkey of O’Fallon, MO and Chris (Robert) Snyder of Hillsboro, MO.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa McKenney; and a brother-in-law, Leo Yerkey.
Jerry was the co-owner of Grime Stoppers in Edwardsville. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, where he served as an Eucharistic Minister.
According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held from 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Edwardsville Knights of Columbus Hall, 7132 Marine Road, Edwardsville, IL.
