Obituary for Jerry J. Jacoby
Jerry Jacoby, 66, of Marine, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Memorial hospital. Jerry was a decorated Veteran who retired after serving 22 years in the Army. He was one of a kind with a strong passion for his military days. He enjoyed listening to his oldies but goodies, laughing with his daughters, shooting at the Kline farm, supporting Veterans, and watching Hallmark/Lifetime movies. He was loved by so many and never knew a stranger. He had a great hearty laugh that could light up any room.
He was preceded in death by his father Jerri Jacoby.
Jerry is survived by his two children Jessica (Tim) Jacoby of Granite City, and Jeannette (Jacob) Kline of Troy; and his grandkids Alexsei, Mavrik, Tristan, Sienna, and Kylee; his mother Shirley Jacoby of Howell, MI; his twin sister Sherry (Tom) Ferguson of Walled Lake, MI; his brother Mike (Laurel) Jacoby of New Hudson, MI; his sister Mickey (Laurence) Fraser of Baton Rouge, LA; his brother Brian (Carrie) of Fenton, MI; his first wife Choi Jacoby of Creve Coeur, MO;
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Kalmer Memorial Services, 8638 US Hwy 50, Lebanon, IL. A memorial service with military honors will immediately follow the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Gary Sinise foundation.
