Obituary for Joan E. Scinta (Piatt)
Joan E. Scinta, age 82, of O’Fallon, IL, died Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her residence.
She was born May 5, 1940 in Williamsport, PA, the daughter of the late Leslie and Erma (Purhenn) Piatt.
She is survived by a son, Samuel James (Kerry) Scinta, Sr. of Cheboygan, MI; and two grandchildren: Samuel James (Abi) Scinta, Jr. of Richmond, TX and Anthony Michael (Savannah) Scinta of Germany.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Lawrence Piatt and Gary Piatt.
A memorial gathering will be held at Kalmer Memorial Services, 8638 US Hwy 50, between Lebanon and O’Fallon from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Following the gathering, her remains will be cremated and interred in New York.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
