John I. Bean, Jr., age 75, of Belleville, IL, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL. He was born January 29, 1942 in Washington, D.C., the son of the late John I. and Marie A. (Petty) Bean, Sr.
John is survived by his beloved companion of 14 years Margie Fuca. He was a great friend to Margie's children: Nicole, Terra, Carrie, and Courtney; her grandchildren and great grandchild; best friend of Abe, Don, Paul and friend to many; best buddy of "Lhasa Apso", Toni.
John graduated from Common Wealth University of Virginia with a degree in accounting. John loved working with numbers and achieved his goal of becoming a C.P.A. He was a proud Navy Veteran, an avid reader, golfer, chess player, piano player, and loved training his dogs. He always had a story to tell and love to discuss politics.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kalmer Memorial Services, 8638 U S Hwy. 50, Lebanon, IL 62254. A memorial service will be held immediately after the visitation.
