Obituary for Joseph Pollo
Joseph Pollo, age 88, died Thursday, August 1, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL.
He was born May 25, 1931 in White City, IL, the son of the late Stephen and Emma (Mandak) Pollo. He married Phyllis Smith. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Mark (Tammy) Pollo of St. Jacob, IL and Brian (Kathy) Pollo of Mt. Olive, IL; two grandchildren: David and Renee; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Mr. Pollo was a lab technician for Boeing. He was a US Army veteran and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He formerly worked at General Steel, and made it a point to stay in touch with other former employees with regular lunch dates.
A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
