Obituary for Kathryn Annette Reed (Rystrom)
Kathryn Annette Reed, age 62, of Mason City, Illinois, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Memorial East Hospital in Shiloh.
She was born June 15, 1956 in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of Harriet (Stanleigh) Rystrom of Wisconsin, and the late Philip Rystrom. She married Franklin Reed. He preceded her in death.
Kathryn is survived by four children: Joseph M. Holley of Fairview Heights, Rachel A. Thorne of West Dundee, Illinois, Nathan R. Thorne of Steger, Illinois and Allyson R. Thorne of Cary, Illinois; seven grandchildren; one brother, Jonathan “Marty” Rystrom; and four sisters: Susan (Michael) Neel, Laura Chavez, Paula Rystrom and Mary K. Rystrom.
A memorial service will be held at a later date near her home of Mason City.
