Obituary for Kristine M. Clayton (Long)
Kristine M. Clayton, age 70, of St. Jacob, died at 3:47 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at her residence.
She was born May 1, 1952 in Rangely, CO, the daughter of the late Halbert H. Long and Maryellen (Hambly) Lacey. She married Ron Clayton. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Surviving are six siblings: Karen Schuessler of St. Jacob, Kay Ingram (the late Al) of Highland, Karol Rees of Nashville, IL, Kim Redd (the late Fred) of Alton, Jim Long (Margarita) of Alton and Kolleen Clark (Don Kosydor) of Troy, IL.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Kathleen Milton, Michael Long and Mark Long.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated and no services will be held. Memorial contributions in her memory can be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 305 S. Illinois St., Belleville, IL 62220.
