Leanna Renae Mueller, age 36, of Granite City, passed away peacefully at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at her residence surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Leanna was born March 23, 1985 in Junction City, KS, the daughter of Theresa (Holland) Altmeyer of New Douglas, IL and the late Dennis Gagain.

Besides her mother, she is survived by two children: Chloey McFalls of Trenton, IL and Liberty Mueller of Lebanon, IL; one sister, Alyce (Wesley) Keesler of Worden, IL; two brothers: Terry (Kate) Gagain of O’Fallon, IL and John Charles Gagain of Liberty, SC; her grandfather, John Roy Garrett of Junction City, KS; aunts: Christina (James) Williams of Augusta, GA, Cindy (Ed) Foster of Grand Junction, CO, Lori Endres of Angel Fire, NM, Sallee Gagain of Roswell, NM; and uncles: Joseph (Nancy) Gagain of Wallingford, CT, Russell (Kelly) Gagain of Hartford, CT; and numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Charlene Garrett and Ruth Gagain-Scali; her grandfathers, Terry Holland and John “Jack” Gagain; aunt Cheryl McNearney; and uncle John Gagain.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in her memory can be given to the American Cancer Society.
