Leonard Eckleberry, age 71, of Mt. Vernon, IL, died Monday, October 31, 2016 at Mt. Vernon Healthcare Center in Mt. Vernon. He was born December 16, 1944 in Mill Shoals, IL, the son of the late Robert H. and Edith (Bassett) Eckleberry. He married Karen Eckleberry. She preceded him in death November 1, 2013. Mr. Eckleberry is survived ny a son, William Bassett of O'Fallon; and two grandchildren: Bryan Bassett of Fairfield, IL and Jamie Nader of Charlotte, NC.
According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated. No services will be held.
