Obituary for Marilyn S. Daine (McMinn)
Marilyn S. Daine, age 83, of Bethalto, formerly of Edwardsville, died at 2:02 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born September 17, 1938 in Peru, Indiana, the daughter of the late Howard and Mary McMinn. She married Lawrence Ronald “Ron” Daine August 26, 1956. He preceded her in death July 23, 2019.
Marilyn is survived by two sons: Derick (Paula) Daine of Bunker Hill, IL and Kurt (Lori) Daine of Simpson, IL; five grandchildren: Frank Lenihan, Josh Lenihan, Daniel Daine, Hannah Tipsword and Ben Daine; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh Paul McMinn.
Burial of her cremated remains will be attended by family only at 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 at St. Boniface Cemetery in Edwardsville. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will follow from 12 noon – 3:00 p.m. at Fowl Mouth Kennels in Bunker Hill.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
