Obituary for Mary Jo McQuaid (Przywitowski)

Mary Jo McQuaid, age 69, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, May 25, 2022 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare Center in Lebanon.

She was born October 13, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Ross) Przywitowski. She married Douglas McQuaid January 12, 1974. He preceded her in death April 2, 2020.

Mary Jo is survived by three children Colleen (John) Glattfelt of Lebanon, IL, Jacob (Amana) McQuaid of Rochester, NH, and Sarah (Stephen) Seidel of Chico, TX; and two grandchildren, Dallas and Reagan. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Przywitowski; ;and a special friend, Nancy Sullivan.

Mary Jo was a dedicated daughter, sister, cousin, mom, wife, and friend. She had a servant's heart and went out of her way to help those in need. She was a devoted member of the USAF Wives Club. She was known to share her home with any of her children's friends who needed a soft spot to land. She was known as Mom to many more children than the three she gave birth too. Her big heart will go on through all the lives she touched. She also enjoyed reading, bingo, playing cards, cross stitch, and family time.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Kalmer Memorial Services, located on Rt. 50 between Lebanon and O’Fallon. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Stroke Association.
