Patrick L. Fiene, age 74, of Belleville, died Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born August 28, 1948 in Oak Park, IL, the son of the late Fred and Gloryann (Finch) Fiene. He married Linda Volkert December 21, 1968 in Rockford, IL. She survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived bya brother, John “Jack” (Cheryl) Fiene of Sedona, AZ; four nephews; his friends: Frank and Donna Heafner, Robert and Heidi Mueller and “Swans” and Jo Swanson; along with “Squirt”, his Chorkie.

Mr. Fiene was a 1974 graduate of SIU-Carbondale with a degree in accounting. He received his MBA from SIU-Edwardsville in 1976. He served four years in the US Air Force, which is how he came to Scott AFB in 1970. He was employed at Fruin-Colnon and Fritz, Inc. for many years.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. November 2, 2016 was a REALLY big day for him when the Cubs finally won the World Series!

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and no services will be held.

Memorials will be appreciated to Linda to help with his final expenses.
