Robert McQuade, age 86, of Fairview Heights, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born April 14, 1931 in Mascoutah, the son of the late George and Caroline (Gregorias) McQuade. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Griesbaum) McQuade. Also surviving are five children: Curtis (Eileen) McQuade, Craig (Cindy) McQuade, Cindy (Clayford) Harris, Charles (Donna) McQuade and Kevin (Susan) McQuade; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Mr. McQuade was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was active with Khoury League Sports; and enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, and was an avid gardener. He was a retired Plant Supervisor for Alvey Conveyor Company.

Private burial of his cremated remains will be at Summerfield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
