Obituary for Robert T. Mete
Robert T. Mete, age 78, of Breese, IL, died at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Breese Nursing Home in Breese.
He was born December 8, 1940 in Breese, the son of the late Theodore and Martha (Hemann) Mete. He married Patricia Ripperda April 28, 1984 in Breese. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Mary Ripperda of Breese; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Shirley (Ron) Steirers of Belleville, Tammy (Mark) Geragosian of Breese, Nancy (Scott) Winslow of Prescott, AZ and David Ripperda of Breese; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family at the Breese Nursing Home.
Mr. Mete retired from Arrow Group Industries in Breese. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese, was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed playing bingo.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese, followed by a memorial mass at 11:00. Burial of his cremated remains will be held at a later date.
