Obituary for Sharon A. Warnecke (Myers)

Sharon A. Warnecke (nee Myers), 72, of Germantown, Il. born on October 29, 1942, in Summerfield, Il., entered eternal rest at 5:34 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Aviston Countryside Manor in Aviston, IL, due to various complications suffered after heart bypass surgery.

Prior to retiring, Sharon could be seen sharing her beautiful smile and keen wit while working at Kniepmann's Kountry Store in Germantown, general manager at Casey's General Store in Albers, Il., and as the receptionist at Illusions Hair Salon in Fairview Heights, Il. In the past three years she enjoyed living in her apartment at the retirement community in Germantown. She was born and raised in Summerfield, Il and graduated from Lebanon High School class of 1960.

She is survived by her children Randy (Mary Jo) Warnecke of Belleville, Il, Stephen (Angel) Warnecke of Breese, Il., Dawn Gent (special friend Michael Schmidt) of Allen, TX., and Richard Warnecke of Albers, Il. Five grandchildren: Matthew Warnecke (Fiancé Megan Brannam) of Belleville, Il., Megan Warnecke of Belleville, Il., Michael Warnecke and Nicole Warnecke of Breese, Il., and Jackson Gent of Allen Texas, and close friend Pat Wilson of Germantown, Il., a sister Doris Haas of Aviston, Il., along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Homer (Eugene) and Kathryn (nee Harpstreit) Myers of Summerfield, Il; Brothers: Gerald and Mehrl Myers; Sisters: Pricsilla Gross, Goldie Lebert, and Mehrlene Schmitt.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2015 at New Life Christian Center, 555 N. Monroe St. in Trenton, Il. Visitation will continue Tuesday, September 8, from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., immediately followed by the funeral service at 10:30. After the service, her remains will be cremated. Private burial of her ashes will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Aviston Countryside Manor, and will be accepted at the church during the visitation.
