Obituary for Steven F. Kossakowski
Steven F. Kossakowski, age 66, of Edwardsville, died at 11:27 AM Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Steve was a devoted husband, dad, Pa, and uncle. He loved spending time with family and friends, Cardinals baseball, and tending to his garden.
He was born September 2, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, to the late Francis “Frank” and Lorraine (nee Ahlvers) Kossakowski.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dorothy (nee Boyer) Kossakowski; son, Timothy (Kayleigh) Kossakowski of O’Fallon, MO; daughter, Caitlin Clark of Edwardsville, IL; four grandchildren: Adelaine, Eleanor, Carter and Emilia; siblings: Patricia (Steven) Branson of Josephville, MO, Mark (Kim) Kossakowski of Yulee, FL, Linda Kossakowski of O’Fallon, MO and Eric Kossakowski of St. Mary’s, GA; and his former son-in-law, Nicholas Clark of Edwardsville,IL.
He is also survived by his in-laws: Tom (Linda) Killian-Boyer, Betsy (Richard) Collins, Peggy (Bob) Boyer-Coffey, Kathy (Dave) Warner, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to noon on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, IL. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Steve’s honor to the American Heart Association.
