Obituary for Thomas Jacober
Thomas Jacober, age 76, of Edwardsville, died Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis, MO.
He was born April 16, 1946 in Highland, Illinois, the son of the late Gilbert and Hildegarde (Frey) Jacober. He married Diane Hogue March 22, 1969 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Edwardsville. She survives.
Also surviving are two children: Thomas (Amy) Jacober of Lebanon, TN and Jennifer (David) Goldenbaum of Champaign, IL; six grandchildren: Elijah, William, Isabel, and Ezra Jacober, Amelia and Isaac Goldenbaum; and a sister, Margie Morgan.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Paul Jacober, Evelyn Daniels, Robert Jacober, Doris Johnson, Donald Jacober, and Richard Jacober.
Tom was a veteran of the US Army and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and volunteered with Anderson Hospital Auxiliary.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the church with Rev. Jeffrey Goeckner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery in Edwardsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Boniface Catholic Church or Hope Animal Rescues in Godfrey, IL.
