Obituary for Wayne L. Adams
Wayne Adams, age 86, of Lebanon, died at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his residence.
He was born May 4, 1934 in Webster, PA, the son of the late James L. and Leona G. (Foulks) Adams. He married Martha Gerstner in 1965. She survives.
Also surviving are three children: Greg (Roxane) Adams of St. Peters, MO, Joe (Okcha) Adams of Ballwin, MO and Susan (Walter Monda) Adams of Sheridan, IN; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Ankrom of Culpepper, VA.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Adams.
Mr. Adams was a locomotive engineer for Union Pacific Rail Road. He was also a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a former member of the South St. Louis Bass Club. Besides fishing, he enjoyed hunting, golf, and downhill and cross country skiing.
Following cremation, his remains will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. The time and date of the service is pending.
