Obituary for Wilene C. Pratt (Hurst)
Wilene C. Pratt, 84, of Collinsville, died Wednesday, January 19th at her home surrounded by family. She was born December 23rd, 1937 in Collinsville, the oldest of the two children to her parents, Lester and Mary (Faletti) Hurst.
She enjoyed being with family, painting, cooking, and working on stained glass.
She met her husband, Donald Pratt, during her high school years. He presented a ring to her on Valentine’s Day her senior year. They married September 10th, 1955. They raised three children who were all residents of Collinsville.
Wilene was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Dennis Pratt. Survivors include her husband, Donald Pratt; two children: Brian (Sue) Pratt and Lisa Pratt; three grandchildren: Justin Pratt (Wendy), DJ Pratt (Elizabeth) and Cory Matthews (Adrianne); two great-grandchildren; one sister, Diane Kuhn; two cousins, Johnny and Gloria Scheurer; and her sister-in-law, Nancy (Richard) Carpenter of Colorado.
A private ceremony will be held for family as her ashes will be interred at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Collinsville.
