Obituary for William L. Hansen
William (Bill) L. Hansen, age 85, of Belleville, died Thursday, December 29, 2022, at his residence.
He was born August 25, 1937 in Racine, WI, the son of the late Leslie and Erma (Kristof) Hansen. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Beverly Talbott, for over 60 years. She preceded him in death May 7, 2020.
He is survived by three children: Elise (Donald) Clark of Ft. Worth, TX, Carrie Hansen of Belleville, and Richard (Katherin) Hansen of Belleville; four grandchildren: Cassie (Daniel) Lacey of North Richland Hills, TX, Taylor Hansen of St. Louis, Kathryn Hansen of Chicago and Madeline Hansen of Belleville; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Hansen of Maryville; and two sisters: Janis (Ron) Moore of Florida and Laurie (Terry) Myles of Wisconsin.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, David Hansen.
One of Bill’s most enjoyable pastimes were his trips to Canada, with his sons, where they spent time camping and fishing. When he wasn’t solving Sudoku puzzles, Bill loved to win big on Packers games. He achieved many accomplishments throughout his life; however, Bill’s proudest titles were Dad and Grandpa. He will be dearly missed.
