Thomas E. Kelly, age 55, of Belleville, died Monday, August 12, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. He was born April 8, 1958 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Thomas O. and Dorothy F. (Witkowski) Kelly. He married Sherri Marsh November 14, 2012. She survives. Also surviving are five children: Sean (Kathryn Bjornstad) Kelly, Karin Mathews, Michael Kelly and Samuel Kelly, all of Belleville, and William Kelly of St. John, MO; one grandchild, Jack Mathews; and three step-children: Courtney McGowan, Laurie McGowan and Dawn Massey, all of Belleville.

Thomas was a member of Grace Church in Fairview Heights. He held a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and worked at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for over 20 years.

A memorial service willbe held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at Metro East Christian Fellowship, 1790 W. Hwy 50 in O'Fallon.
