Patricia L.  Ripperda (McElligott)
Patricia L. Ripperda, nee McElligott, age 71 of New Baden, IL, born October 1, 1944 in East St. Louis, IL, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at her home.

Pat retired from the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate after 35 years of devoted service. She graduated from Saint Theresa's Academy in East St. Louis and was a parishioner of St. George Catholic Church in New Baden. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend, giving selflessly to help family and friends.

Surviving are her beloved daughter, Mary (Kate) Floyd of St. Louis, MO; her sisters and brothers: Jeanne Mandeville of Bowman, SC, Mike (Joyce) McElligott of Lompoc, CA; Barbara (Ben) Stanhaus of New Baden, Terry (Katie) McElligott of Edwardsville and Dennis (Lori) Boomhower of Glen Carbon; and her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Margaret , nee Coons, Boomhower McElligott.

Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at St. George Catholic Church, 200 North Third Street in New Baden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Eugene Neff officiating. Burial will be in Green Mount Cemetery in New Baden.
