Obituary for Andrea Lynn Hoopes

Andrea Lynn  Hoopes
Andrea Lynn Hoopes, age 57, of Summerfield, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 29, 1958 in Parma, OH, the daughter of Alfred and Sharon (Adanich) Kinzel. Her father survives in Parma Heights, OH. Besides her father, she is survived by her husband, David Hoopes, whom she married April 10, 1982 in Wichita Falls, TX. She is also survived by two daughters: Ashley Rench of Bethalto, IL and Brandi (Ron) Offt of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren: Alijah and Rheagan Rench and Maxwell Offt; one brother, Fred Kinzel of Littlestown, PA; one niece, Victoria Kinzel; and her close family friend, Al Ambruster.

Mrs. Hoopes was a 6 year veteran of the US Air Force. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and a Master's Degree in Human Resources from Webster University in St. Louis. She was a Human Resources Manager for the Veteran's Administration, retiring in 2013.
She was a member of the St. Louis Zoo, the National Rifle Association and the National Humane Society. She loved the outdoors, especially range shooting, but most of all, loved spending time with her grandchildren.

According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated. Her ashes will be interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
