Obituary for Arlene F. Nordmann (Sloan)

Arlene F.  Nordmann (Sloan)
Arlene F. Nordmann, age 59, of Belleville, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1953 in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of the late Cecil and Goldie (Pate) Sloan. She married Charles Nordmann October 1, 1977 in East Carondalet, IL. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Christopher (Danielle) Nordmann of Fairview Heights; one grandchild, Skylar Nordmann; his brothers and sisters: Kathy Massie of East Carondalet, Larry (Nancy "T.J") Sloan of Pueblo, CO, Dianna (Ed) Harris of Centreville, and Gaylan Sloan of Town & Country, MO; a sister-in-law, Linda Sloan of Memphis, TN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mearl Sloan; and a brother-in-law, Steven Massie.

Mrs. Nordmann had a very active life as a housewife, mother and grandmother. She also owned and operated Miss Arlene's Daycare Supreme in Belleville; had worked for the Bank of America in St. Louis, and was a member of the Millstadt Sportmen's Club Women's Auxillary.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Kalmer Memorial Services in Lebanon, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Private burial of her cremated remains will be held at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery in Belleville.
