Bruce W. Miner, age 64, of Fairview Heights, IL, died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. He was born April 6, 1949 in Frankfurt, Germany, the son of the late Kenneth and J. Ruth Miner. He married Kawano Makiko in 1985. She survives. Also surviving are two children: David Miner and Ruby Kim Calabrose; three grandchildren; two sisters: Marion and Gayle; and a brother, Bob Miner. Mr. Miner worked as a telecommunication engineer at Scott Air Force Base. He was also a veteran of the US Army.

A memorial service will be held July 7, 2013 at the St. Louis Budhist Center, 7915 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63130. The time is pending.
