Obituary for George L. WIlliams

CMSgt, (Ret) George L. Williams, age 82, of Belleville, died at 5:20 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville. He was born December 29, 1932 in Webster City, IA, the son of the late Herbert and Ruth Williams. He married Sue Watrous. She preceded him in death in 2007. He is survived by a son, Jeffrey (Peggy) Williams of Florissant, MO; three grandchildren: Robert (Amanda) Williams of El Paso, TX, Krystal (Andy) Reamer of Fairview Heights, and Kathleen Killion of Florissant; and three great-grandchildren: Aidenn Williams, Noah Williams and Ellison Reamer. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister: Jack and Patty Williams.

Mr. Williams was a 30 year veteran of the US Air Force, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant. He enjoyed history, traveling and was an avid reader.

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and a private burial of his ashes will be held at a later date.
