Gregory J. “Jam Box” Brentlinger, age 54, of Summerfield, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 21, 1963 in St. Louis, MO, the son of John “Jack” Brentlinger of Summerfield and Loretta Spincks. Besides his father, Greg is survived by his step-mother, Catherine (Gault) Brentlinger of Summerfield; one sister, Tammy Saddler; five step-sisters: Grace Lichtenberg, Georgee Blankenship, Roberta Everhart, Patty Lancey and Mary Lancey; and his best friend, Dave Cornelius.
Greg was a member of Westgate Baptist Church in Trenton. He was a friend to many and would light up the room just by walking in. He had masterful knowledge of Rock n Roll history, and was simply a joy just to be in his presence.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Kalmer Memorial Services, on Rt. 50 between Lebanon and O’Fallon. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation. Following the funeral service, his remains will be cremated.
