Obituary for John A. Molnar Sr.

John A. Molnar, age 72, of Beckemeyer, IL, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. He was born October 18, 1942 in Whiting, IN, the son of John N. and Irene E. (Bayusz) Molnar. He married Carol Louis September 26, 1980. She survives. Also surviving are three children: Susan (Scott) Oneill of Millstadt, IL, John A. (Maura) Molnar, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA and Donna (Chris) Correale of O'Fallon, IL; two stepchildren: Barbara (the late Bill) Cadwell of Bismarck, MO and Laura Coonce of Pocahontas, IL; eight grandchildren: Meagan (Matt) Ludgate, John David Molnar, Alexandra Molnar, Tayrin Valesquez, Brandon White, Jeremy Correale, Andrew Correale and Anna Correale; four step-grandchildren: Josh Coonce, James Anthony, Harley Cadwell and Hailey Cadwell; and four step-great-grandchildren: Mariah, Adriana, Jayci and Aden. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Phyllis James.

Mr. Molnar was the former owner of Molnar Insurance in Beckemeyer, and the former co-owner of the Bottle Shop in Carlyle. He was a member of the Carlyle Lions Club (#149), Scott Masonic Lodge No. 79 A.F. & A.M., the Beckemeyer Volunteer Fire Dept. and St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Beckemeyer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, but most of all, spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Anna.

Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Beckemeyer. A memorial service will immediately follow with Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. Burial of his cremated remains will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Beckemeyer. Memorial contributions may be given to Chakota Therapeutic Riding Center, 6248 Wesclin Rd, Germantown IL 62245.
