Joyce Marie Hunter (Haarth)
Joyce M. Hunter, age 79, of Herrin, died at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at her residence. She was born February 12, 1934 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Alice Anna (Ugorek) Haarth. She married Julius Steven Jones May 28, 1964. He preceded her in death July 19, 1977. On July 28, 1990, she married Joseph Hunter. He survives. Besides her second husband, she is survived by a daughter, Stefanie Hampton of Madisonville, KY; one grandchild, Julia Gillespie of Springfield, MO; one brother, Henry (Rose) Haarth of Almond, WI; and one sister, Janice Scheisser of Manawa, WI. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Conrad Haarth.

Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker. According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated and there will be no service. The family requests memorials be donated to Hospice of Southern Illinois. They were kind, gentle and comforting in Mrs. Hunter's hours of need.
