Lorene Huelskamp, nee Eilering, of Breese, passed away at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her residence.

She was born June 16, 1932 in Breeses, the daughter of the late Martin and Dora (Johnson) Eilering. She married Gerald Huelskamp June 4, 1951. He preceded her in death February 10, 2015.

Lorene is survived by her children: Gerry (Sandi) Huelskamp of Rural Carlyle, Terry (Sherri) Huelskamp of Woodlawn, Brice Huelskamp of Breese, Susan (Kevin) Heim of Highland, Mary (Sam) Wells of Tunnel Hill, IL, Jeff Huelskamp of rural Carlyle, Lori Huelskamp of Carlyle, Lynn (special friend Mark Henss) Huelskamp of Beckemeyer and Christine Huelskamp of Breese; 12 grandchidlren: Tyler (Erin) Huelskamp of Grantfork, IL, Kasey Huelskamp of Breese, Lindsay (Monty) Nugent of Arnold, MO, Xavier Heim of Highland, Jennifer Huelskamp of Mt. Vernon, Brock Huelskamp of Keyesport, Cruz Kampwerth of Centralia, Justine Hardy of Breese, Jessica Hardy of Fulton, MS, Dylan Hardy of Breese, Kaleb Ricklefs of Breese and Anakin Ricklefs of Breese; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Emily (the late Richard) Cortese of Waterbury, CT and Dorothy (the late Joseph) Trame of Mattoon, IL.

She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sr. Julia Huelskamp, PHJC of Donaldson, IN, Rosaline (John) Saufnauer of Affton, MO, Eleanor (Al) Fiascone of Batavia, IL, Maxine (the late Erwin) Huelskamp of Breese, David Huelskamp of Lake St. Louis, MO, Tom (Jeanette) Huelskamp of Riverside, CA, Lorine (the late Bob) Wikman of Culver, IN and Joey (Marilyn) Benhoff of Evansdale, IA.

She was preceded in death by one son, Denny Huelskamp; one grandson, James Wells; six siblings: Martha (the late Melvin) Essenpreis, Evie (the late Ray) Pokorny, Carolyn Eilering, Toots (the late Eugene) Essenpreis, Arthur Eilering and Arnold EIlering; a sister-in-law, Geraldine (the late Tony) Luebbers; and four brothers-in-law: Jerome, Lawrence, Herman and Dennis (the late Lorraine) Huelskamp.

Lorene was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese, the St. Monica Altar Sodality and was a charter member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese. A memorial Mass of Resurrection will immediately follow the visitation with Rev. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be in St. Domnic Cemetery in Breese.

Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice.
