Melahat "Millie" Tan
Melahat ‘Millie’ Tan, 68 of Swansea, Illinois born in Istanbul Turkey on Sept. 1, 1944 left our world to rest in the comfort of His arms on March 23, 2013. Millie was a gardener and loved her cats and dogs as children, often raising baby birds fallen from nests. She enjoyed the outdoors and working at flea markets. Millie was an entrepreneur and owned an alterations shop in town. Millie touched many lives, and will be remembered for her strong determination and stubborn wit. Memorials may be made to the Warren Billhartz Collinsville Animal Shelter.

Private services were held. According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated.
