Alton and 11 years with R. Dron Electric Co., Inc. Granite City, retiring in 1991.
Michael dearly missed his beloved wife, but was blessed with enjoying his remaining years spending time with his daughter and grandsons, sharing with them his passion for music, encouraging each to pursue a musical instrument and vocal performance. He also greatly enjoyed sharing his life with his four legged babies, most especially his Sheltie, Binki Accario. In his youthful years, he enjoyed recreational time boating, fishing, and hunting with family and friends accompanied and championed by his faithful canine friends.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Alton, The Alton Knights of Columbus, a 60-year member of the IBEW #649, a former member of Alton-Wood River Sportsmen’s Club and a former member and past president of the Godfrey Lions Club. Michael also mentored many of young men over the years helping them evolve into responsible young adults. It was apparent to all who knew Michael that his care and concern for family and friends was deeply profound and sincere.
Everywhere Michael went he made friends. His positive, cheerful, enduring demeanor immediately put others at ease. He will be greatly missed by his family, but all take comfort in knowing he is now at peace with his wife and family.
