Obituary for Onetia "Smith" Terry
Onetia Terry, age 41, of Christopher, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at her residence. She was born December 1, 1971 in Herrin, IL, the daughter of Richard and Barbara (Wells) Smith of Christopher. Besides her parents, she is also survived by five children: LaShay (Robert) Rockwell of Herrin, Ryan Fowler of Benton, IL, Britanny Fowler of Vincennes, IN, Dustin Shipp of Mexico, MO, and Hunter Williams of Valier, IL; three grandchildren: Devan Ryan Fowler, Paisley Rockwell and Sealice Kayann Dollahan; and two brothers: David A. Owens of Valier, IL and John Dewayne Owens of Mexico, MO. She was preceded in death by a sister, Stephanie McClellan; and a brother, Frank James "Jimmy" Owens.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated and there will be no service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Breast and Cervical Cancer Center in Carbondale, IL.
